Alterations
Minor adjustments? You're covered. Take the garments to any local tailor to have adjustments made and we'll reimburse you for the cost.
Remakes
Significant issues that can't be adjusted? We'll remake the garment, free of charge. Learn more about our simple remake process below.
Covered Alterations
Need to have the pants shortened or the jacket let out a bit? We make it fast and easy. No need to send the garments back or go to a Sartoro approved tailor - just follow these simple steps:

*Pro Tip -- we recommend using your local dry cleaner. Most offer alteration services for 2-3x less than a dedicated tailor for identical work - helping to keep you within the covered limits.

If you order multiple of the same garment type in your first order, we'll send you one first to confirm the fit and for you to decide if you'd like to proceed with the remainder of your order.

First Order Returns

Alteration Reimbursement Limits
Any alterations directly related to fit are covered. If you are quoted more than these limits, please contact our customer support team before proceeding. Dry cleaning / pressing and hemming pants left unfinished by choice is not covered.
Once approved, you may choose cash back or double the approved cash back amount as store credit. Alterations are automatically recorded in your Fit Profile and taken into account on future orders. You must let us know about any alterations or adjustments prior to subsequent orders to continue to be eligible for alteration credit.

Other Questions You Might Have
On my first order, can I order two suits and return one of them?
Unfortunately no. If you order multiple of the same garment type (for example two suits or one suit and one jacket), we'll send one of them out to you first to make sure we have the fit dialed in. Once you receive the first garment, you can choose to:
- keep the first garment and proceed with the second one
- return the first garment and cancel the second one
- return the first garment but receive the second one
If you choose to receive the second garment, it is covered by our Fit Promise but is not eligible for return. If you require both garments in your first order to be sent initially, both are covered by our Fit Promise but neither is eligible for return.
What if the alterations cost more than the covered limits?
Typically when alteration costs exceed our covered limits, the reason is due to taking the garments to an expensive tailor shop instead of your local dry cleaner. Most alterations are generally easy and do not require near the same level of skill as making the garment itself. Dry cleaners typically offer alteration services for 2-3x less than dedicated tailors, for the same quality work.
Are there any costs associated with returns?
We provide a prepaid return shipping label. The only cost not eligible for refund is any shipping costs associated with your initial order. As long as the garments are returned in new condition with the tags on, you will be refunded the full amount excluding any initial shipping fees.
What are my options for getting reimbursed for alterations?
You can choose cash back (up to the covered limits below) via a partial refund to the card used for purchase OR you can choose to receive double the approved cash back amount as store credit - a great choice if you plan to purchase from us again.
If you purchased with a gift card or as part of prepaid order for a wedding party, you are only eligible for store credit.
If I have alterations made, can I also request a remake after?
We will reimburse you for alterations OR provide a remake, not both. If you've been reimbursed for alterations, we cannot provide a free remake.
Are women's suits eligible for first order returns?
While we are happy to craft garments for any individual, Sartoro is a menswear brand specializing in men's garments with sizing tech optimized for male body types. As we have not yet had the resources to develop the same level of Fit Precision involved in crafting garments for female body types, our first order returns policy applies only to orders for men and male body types.
