SARTORO LLC (“Sartoro,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you visit our website at www.sartoro.co (the “Site”), place an order, or otherwise interact with us.
By using the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of personal information:
Identifiers: name, email address, billing/shipping address, phone number, account login details.
Commercial Information: order history, product preferences, transaction records.
Payment Information: payment method details (processed securely by third-party providers; Sartoro does not store full credit card numbers).
Device/Internet Activity: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps, referring/exit pages, cookies, and similar technologies.
Geolocation Data: general location inferred from IP address or shipping details.
Customer Support Records: communications with our team.
Marketing Preferences: newsletter opt-ins, SMS opt-ins, promotional responses.
Sensitive Personal Information (SPI): tailoring body measurements. Sartoro only uses SPI for garment customization. We do not use SPI to infer characteristics about you beyond tailoring.
We do not intentionally collect health data, racial/ethnic origin, or other special category data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Process and fulfill orders.
Provide customer service, tailoring, and returns/alterations.
Improve and personalize our Site and services.
Send promotional emails, SMS, and offers (with your consent where required).
Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or unauthorized activity.
Comply with legal and tax obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
We may share personal information with:
Service Providers: e-commerce platforms (Shopify), payment processors, shipping carriers, marketing platforms (Klaviyo, Emotive), analytics and advertising providers.
Legal & Compliance: when required to comply with laws, regulations, subpoenas, or court orders.
Business Transfers: in connection with mergers, acquisitions, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, we may share identifiers and device data with advertising and analytics partners, which may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under certain U.S. privacy laws. You may opt out of this by contacting us (see Section 7).

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (“cookies”) to operate our Site, improve functionality, and deliver personalized experiences.

Unless you request deletion (subject to legal and contractual obligations), Sartoro retains:
Order and transaction records: typically 7 years, as required by tax and accounting laws.
Customer service records: retained for at least 3 years for quality assurance and historical tracking.
Tailoring measurements: retained until you request deletion of your profile or account, so that future orders may be fulfilled consistently.
Marketing consents and preferences: retained until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe.
If you wish to request deletion of your data, you may exercise your rights as outlined in Section 7.
6. Data Security & Breach Notification
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If a data breach occurs that compromises your personal information, we will notify you and any applicable authorities as required by law, including details of the incident and recommended protective steps.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
Access & Portability – request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Correction – request corrections to inaccurate data.
Deletion – request deletion of personal information (subject to legal exceptions).
Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing – opt out of targeted advertising and data sharing.
Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information – Sartoro only uses SPI (tailoring measurements) for garment customization and does not infer unrelated characteristics. You may request further restrictions if desired.
Opt-Out of Marketing – unsubscribe from emails or SMS at any time.
Appeal – if we deny your request, you may appeal within 30 days by emailing privacy@sartoro.co with “Appeal” in the subject line. We will review and respond within 30 days, or the timeline required by applicable law.
Verification Process: We may request information such as your email address, shipping address, or other details associated with your interaction with Sartoro to confirm your identity. If you are a new customer or have not placed an order, we will use alternative methods such as email confirmation or account verification.

8. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states with privacy laws may exercise the rights described in Section 7. Sartoro does not discriminate against customers who exercise these rights.
California Shine the Light Law
California residents may request information once per year about whether we have shared your personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, email privacy@sartoro.co with “Shine the Light Request” in the subject line.
9. Notice of Financial Incentive (California CPRA)
From time to time, Sartoro may offer discounts, promotions, or loyalty perks in exchange for providing personal information such as your email address or phone number (e.g., signing up for email/SMS marketing).
Financial Incentive Offered: discounts on purchases, loyalty points, or exclusive promotions.
Categories of Personal Information Collected: identifiers (name, email, phone number) and marketing preferences.
How Value Is Calculated: the value of the incentive is reasonably related to the value of your personal information to Sartoro, as determined by revenue generated from marketing outreach, engagement, and retention programs.
Opt-In/Opt-Out: participation is voluntary. You may opt in by providing your information when prompted. You may withdraw at any time by unsubscribing, texting STOP, or contacting us at privacy@sartoro.co.
10. International Users (EEA/UK)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we process your personal data in accordance with the GDPR/UK GDPR.
Legal Bases:
Contract performance (order fulfillment).
Legitimate interests (marketing, fraud prevention).
Consent (email/SMS marketing, cookies).
Legal compliance.
International Transfers: Your data may be transferred to the United States. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful mechanisms for such transfers.
Your Rights: In addition to the rights in Section 7, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Sartoro does not target the EU or UK and has not appointed an EU or UK representative at this time.
11. Children’s Privacy
Our Site is not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. In the EEA, the minimum age may be between 13–16 depending on the country. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it.
