How to request alterations or a remake?

Open the fit profile used on your most recent order. There you’ll find an option to request alterations, a remake, or simply adjustments to future orders.

I want adjustments on my next order. Should I create a new Fit Profile?

Generally no. We measure every garment before shipment. Adjusting your fit based on the garments you received is much easier (and more precise) than creating an entirely new Fit Profile.

When you should create a new Fit Profile: If your body shape / size has undergone a dramatic transformation (significant weight gain/loss, etc) OR if you are ordering for a different person, you should create a new Fit Profile.

Can you make standard sizes? While we believe a custom fit is always better, we can lean on standard sizes if preferred. When you complete the Digital Tailor, you'll have the opportunity to enter your off-the-rack jacket, pants and shirt sizes. We will leverage that information and anything else provided to craft your custom fit.

Can I order for a different person?

Yes! In this case, you should create a new Fit Profile for that other person. We also recommend giving the Fit Profile a clear name so you know which is which (this also makes it easier for our team!).

I'm not sure if I need adjustments - what should I do?

Our team is here to help! Use the Adjust My Fit option within your Fit Profile and add as much information as you can. In the notes, let us know you're not sure if the adjustments are correct.

Our team will review your notes and images and will reach out with changes we suggest, if different from the ones you proposed. Note: we review fit profile adjustments after your next order is placed.

How long do I have to submit alteration or remake requests?

Remake requests must be submitted within 14 days of receipt of your order. Alteration reimbursement requests may be submitted up to 30 days after receipt of your order.

Need more time? If you need more time, you may email us at team@sartoro.co and we are generally accommodating, however you must reach out initially within the required timeframe to request an extension.

Important Note: Our Fit Promise covers alteration reimbursements OR a remake, never both. If you take your garments to be altered by a local tailor (most dry cleaners offer basic alteration services), make sure they are confident they can adjust the garments to your liking before proceeding. If the alterations are not successful and a remake is required, we cannot reimburse for the cost of the alterations, and there is also a fee for returning altered garments. You are still eligible for the remake in this case, should it be within the approved timeframes.
