Alterations, Remakes, Returns

Our Fit Promise covers all orders and includes free remakes or reimbursement for local alterations. Additionally, on your FIRST Sartoro garment order, if you are not satisfied and do not wish to proceed with alterations, you may return the garments for a full refund of the garment purchase price.

Multiple Garments in First Orders

If you order multiple garments of the same type in your first Sartoro order, we will make one set first to confirm the fit. This helps avoid waste if adjustments are needed. Once you receive the first set of garments, email us to let us know how it fits. Production of the rest of your order will then be expedited. If you require all garments to be sent at the same time, you are still covered by our Fit Promise but are not eligible for first order returns.

How accurate is the fit?

Sartoro custom garments are based on your Fit Profile, which you can learn more about by visiting the Get Measured page. Our multi-faceted process includes analyzing your Fit Profile against over 4000 previous orders and millions of data points contained within our Digital Tailor's proprietary algorithm.

The vast majority of first orders fit exceptionally well right out of the box. A small percentage require minor alterations that can be done at any dry cleaner or local tailor in your area. 3-5% of orders have issues that require a (free) remake - most often due to inaccurate measurement info or unique fit preferences.

Can you make standard sizes? While we believe a custom fit is always better, we can lean on standard sizes if preferred. When you complete the Digital Tailor, you'll have the opportunity to enter your off-the-rack jacket, pants and shirt sizes. We will leverage that information and anything else provided to craft your custom fit.

How fast is shipping?

We offer three shipping options - standard, priority, and rush. Standard is free on all orders over $250.

Standard: ~3 week delivery
Priority: 2 week delivery
RUSH: 7-8 day delivery

Importantly, if you are ordering for an event, we highly recommend providing as much information as possible (including the optional photos) to give our tailors as much information as possible to craft you an exceptional fit.

Can I make special requests?

Absolutely. Through our Sartoro Select program we can handle pretty much any request you want to throw at us, including sourcing other fabrics outside of our collection for unique needs.

For fit preference requests, just add details in your Fit Profile or order notes. If you'd like to explore more complex customizations, please schedule a virtual consultation.

Is this available for female body types?

At this time, Sartoro specializes exclusively in menswear and our sizing and fit technology is optimized for men. We do accept orders for women and female body types, however due to the additional complexity and process involved in crafting garments for female body types that we have not built into our systems yet, at this time our returns policy is limited to garments made for men and male body types.

For female and female body type orders, you should still complete the Digital Tailor but we will also reach out after the order is placed to collect additional measurement information. We will work with you to resolve any fit issues should they occur, but there are no returns on orders for female body types or where the garments are being cut for a women / female body type. We plan to expand our sizing tech and breadth of offerings to women and female types eventually and will post updates when that occurs.

What is your return policy?

If you are not satisfied with your purchase and do not wish to proceed with alterations or a remake, your first order may be returned for a refund. You will be refunded for all costs exclusive of any initial shipping fees.

Special orders (group orders, custom fabric sourcing, custom printed lining, women's clothing or garments made for female body types) are not eligible for returns, but are covered by the rest of our Fit Promise.

Where are you based?

Sartoro is a US startup brand founded in New York City in 2020 - but our team and operations are spread out across the globe.

Is SARTORO a sustainable brand?

Absolutely - custom made clothing is an exception in an otherwise wasteful industry. We don't mass produce garments - every piece is made to order as the order is placed.

We try our best to minimize our carbon footprint every step of the way, from eliminating as much single-use plastic as possible, reducing the size of our shipping boxes and working with local partners to limit fabric stock on hand.

Is SARTORO a major corporation?

No! We may look big on the outside but we're not one of these mega brands who only care about quantity. We're a small team of dedicated experts on a mission to help people of all shapes and sizes look and feel their best in high quality, reasonable priced custom made clothing.
