Frequently Asked Questions

Should I use the Digital Tailor or self measure?

We strongly recommend using the Digital Tailor. There is far less room for error and you're covered by our Fit Promise and Free Remake Guarantee.

The majority of orders that require alterations are those where the customer chose to self measure and did not measure correctly.

How accurate is the Digital Tailor?

Our Digital Tailor uses a few basic inputs you already know (height, weight, age, pants waist, shoe size) and analyzes that data against over 50,000 body scans and millions of data points from people of all shapes, sizes and ages.

Body measurements are predicted to within 3% accuracy, more than precise enough to make a great fitting custom suit. Most first orders require any additional alterations.

If there is a fit issue, we will cover the cost to have alterations made locally or will send a remade garment with necessary adjustments free.

I have a unique body size. Will the Digital Tailor work?

Yes. The Digital Tailor works for almost all body shapes and sizes. Our master tailors review all measurements prior to manufacturing. If anything looks off, we'll contact you to confirm measurements and may request photos to help the team better understand your body proportions. We've crafted suits for clients ranging from 5'0" 120lbs to 6'8" 375lbs.

Can I use measurements taken for a previous suit?

We don’t recommend it. All tailors have slightly different measuring styles - so unless the tailor is following our tutorial videos, the measurements they took may be slightly different from how we measure. If you have finished garment measurements, you may add those to your order notes.

How do I know if my measurements are accurate?

Our team of master tailors reviews all measurements before garments are cut and we will contact you if we need to reconfirm any data points.

On the off chance something doesn't fit just right, every Sartoro garment includes an alteration credit to have a local tailor make adjustments. If you do choose to self measure, please have a friend help and closely follow the video tutorials.

Should my measurements match my off-the-rack garment sizes?

Not necessarily. Off the rack sizes are not body measurements and vary from brand to brand. For example, if your pants are typically size 34/32, your waist measurement will be larger than 34”.

Can I change my measurements?

Yes. You can change measurements anytime before ordering. To change your measurements, either go through the Digital Tailor again or edit your self measurements from your customer account.

If you've already placed your order, contact us as soon as possible if changes are required. If alterations are required on your first order, we'll adjust your measurements so that future orders fit perfectly.
