Measure around the middle of your neck, over your adam’s apple, following the natural curve.
Measure around the widest part of your chest, underneath your armpits - relaxing your arms at your sides. Make sure you keep the measuring tape level, all the way around.
Measure around your upper waist, at the smallest part of your torso. This is usually right at the base of your rib cage.
Measure around your belly at the widest point. This is usually right below the belly button. Don’t flex, and don’t suck in your gut.
Relax your arm at your side. Measure around your bicep at the widest point - don’t flex. Remember to keep one finger between you and the measuring tape.
Identify the bones at the top edge of each shoulder. Measure from bone to bone, over and along the natural curve of your back - not straight across. This determines where the body of your jacket will connect to the sleeves.
Straighten your arm completely. Start at the point where you took the shoulder measurement and measure all the way down to where your arm meets your hand.
Relax your arms at your side. Start at the highest point on your shoulder, at the base of the side of your neck. Measure straight down your torso to the point that aligns with your first thumb joint.
Measure around your torso at the point where the waistline of your pants should reach. Don’t flex, and don’t suck in your gut. Be sure to keep one finger between you and the tape.
